Australia's conference for the Python Programming Community.

PyCon Australia is the national conference for professionals, students and enthusiasts who work with the Python Programming Language. Held on August 18-19 at Wrest Point in Hobart, Tasmania, it features presentations, tutorials and panel sessions by experts and core developers of Python, as well as the libraries and frameworks that you rely on.

The conference activities kick off on Friday August 17, with the CodeWars Tournament, pitting teams of developers against each other on the big screen. After the conference are the PyCon Sprints on August 20 and 21, offering a valuable opportunity to shape the future of Python in a face-to-face setting. During the conference, there will be great social events, including the Women in Python Breakfast and the conference dinner at a secret venue that's not to be missed.

Call for Topics

You can help us make PyCon Australia perfect for you by telling us what Python topics you would like to see at the conference. Do you know someone who could present that topic? Even better! You can tell us what you want to hear about by filling in our Call for Topics form.

Perhaps there's a topic that you'd like to present on? Great! We'll be opening our regular Call for Proposals in February 2012. We can't wait to hear from you.
